a submission to mit’s lobby 7 design competition in collaboration with  rebecca uchill. we got honorably mentioned!

the competition prompt asked for ideas to occupy the four empty plinths in lobby 7. our proposal stated that the plinths have not remained empty, and argued for their continued relevance not as platforms for static objects, but as supports for dynamic subjects. we made a calendar highlighting some of the many events that have taken place in the lobby throughout its existence, and commissioned two artworks that temporarily occupied the lobby with sound by ben houge and a performance by sarah witt.
